Guidelines on CCAM-based public transport operations
Target audience: Policy makers, Transport authorities, Operators
- Higher visibility trials of CCAM public or shared transport, including on services which are useful to larger numbers of everyday travellers, rather than concentrating on niche services. It may be that some CCAM vehicles could run on a busy service, in conjunction with traditional buses.
- Ensure a visible staff presence, at least in the trial or early stage of a service, to help passenger confidence.
- Provide training and familiarisation sessions with users with specific needs (blind or partially sighted, wheelchair users, etc.).
